Relay for Life
I walk in the darkness, with candles aglow, Remembering loved ones, lost to cancer's woe. Their memories stay with me, as I take each stride, Fighting back tears, as I glide.

In this moment we gather, united we stand, Each step is a promise, a hope in our hands. Together we're stronger, through battles we fought, With love as our armor, we've all got a shot.
As a committee member, I work tirelessly behind, To make this Relay for Life, a success to find. I DJ the event, spinning tracks to keep pace, As survivors, caregivers, and teams show their face.
Cancer's taken so much, from my life and my heart, Leaving scars that never fade, a constant ache to start. But in this Relay, I find solace and strength, A community united, to fight at length.
We walk through the night, under starry skies, Our footsteps a testament, to the fight that never dies. We honor the fallen, and celebrate the brave, Those who've fought, and those who still wave.
As the sun starts to rise, and the Relay comes to a close, I feel a sense of pride, and a heart that overflows. For I know that together, we've made a difference tonight, A step closer to a cure, a beacon of hope in the fight.
So I'll keep walking, and spinning tracks with cheer, For the loved ones I've lost, and those still holding on dear. For in this Relay for Life, I've found a purpose true, A way to honor, to heal, and to see this fight through.
