My Aunt My Bestfriend

You're more than just an aunt, to me you're so much more, A best friend, a confidante, a love that I adore. Growing up, you helped shape me, into the man I am today, Alongside Mom, you guided me, through life's joys and dismay.

Sleepovers at your house, were always a treat, Fun-filled nights, of laughter and memories to repeat. Puzzles, bingo, and spades tournaments, we'd play all night, Creating moments, that shine so bright.

But life has taken its toll, and cancer's left its mark, Taking so much from you, leaving scars that embark. Yet still you fight, with every breath you take, A warrior, a hero, for your loved ones' sake.

Though time may be short, your spirit remains strong, A beacon of hope, that shines all day long. You'll always be my aunt, but forever my best friend, A bond that's unbreakable, until the very end.

So I'll hold on to memories, of laughter and of fun, Of sleepovers, puzzles, and games, forever won. And though cancer may take your physical form away, In my heart, you'll live on forever, every single day.
