Friend Zone
I search for a connection, for someone true, A perfect match, who'll see me through. But fate plays tricks, and I'm left to sigh, As those who'd be perfect, pass me by.
They welcome me with open arms and heart, But only as a friend, we'll never be a part. I'm relegated to the zone, where love dare not roam, A friend, but never more, forever left to wonder home.
I fear I'll find the wrong one, who'll give me the time, But they'll be flawed and imperfect, and our love will be a crime. While those who'd be my perfect match, will forever be out of reach, Leaving me to wonder, if I'll ever find my heart's release.
Why must it be, that those who'd be my best fit, See me only as a friend, and never as a love to hit? Is it fate's cruel joke, or just my heart's sad plight? To be forever friend-zoned, and never shine with love's delight.
